The agenda will be as follows:
• 18:00 Brief introduction from WeWork and WMUG• 18:05 What’s New in Configuration Manager Current Branch (Wally Mead / Gerry Hampson)• 19:05 Break • 19:15 Extend your Configuration Manager reach with the Cireson Portal for Configuration Manager (Wally Mead)• 19.55 Have your Secured your Access to the Configuration Manager Console? (Wally Mead)• 20:30 End
If you want to provide access to Configuration Manager to more of your IT staff, but worry about given them too much power and control, or don’t want to have to spend countless hours training them on the use of the Configuration Manager Console, then the Cireson Portal for Configuration Manager is the solution for you. It is a web based experience that provides role-based control to specific features of Configuration Manager in an easy to use interface. In this session, you’ll learn what the Cireson Portal for Configuration Manager can do for your environment through slides and extensive demos.
As you know, Microsoft releases a new build of Configuration Manager every few months. Are you up to date with the latest release, or are you still a few builds behind? Even if you are up to date, do you know all the new features that have been added to each build? In this session, you will learn what’s new in the product, from the original release of current branch, up to the most current one. And may even have time to talk about what the future may hold!
Everyone who uses Configuration Manager knows that it has role-based access control (RBAC). However, not everyone really uses it. This means that either you take on all the responsibilities and duties for Configuration Manager yourself (or in a very small team) or you are likely providing way more power and control to those who don’t really need it. In this session, you’ll learn how to properly configure and environment through the implementation of Configuration Manager’s role-based administration features.
